Tribal priorities for Congress to consider are detailed clear and concise and help give guidelines for future policymaking that ensure Tribal needs are at the forefront.
ATNI led a Tribal Review of the Congressional Action Plan for a Clean Energy Economy that aimed to ensure that the CAP will “(i) provide information to Tribal leaders regarding impacts and opportunities, gaps, concerns, and Tribal priorities identified in a critical review of the CAP; (ii) assist Tribal leaders in strategizing to address the priorities and gaps of the CAP; (iii) provide draft language that Tribal leaders may deploy in communications with policymakers to advance fulfillment of objectives, including Tribal resolutions.”
