Local Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs) are key in helping you apply for OWEB grants. However, some individual SWCDs have extra grant funding available for landowners in their districts as well. Below are some highlighted grant and assistance programs that some SWCDs offer:
- The West Multnomah County SWCD offers Financial Incentives for Sustainable Habitats (FISH) grants for landowners located in the district. The program supports on-the-ground conservation projects, soil and water quality testing, conservation education, and community events that promote natural resource conservation.
- The East Multnomah SWCD offers small grants for on-the-ground conservation and education efforts.
- The Clackamas County SWCD offers a variety of small grants for Clackamas County landowners.
- A full directory of all SWCD’s in Oregon can be found here. Contact your local SWCD to talk about grant and cost share opportunities they may be able to assist you in accessing.
