Farmer’s Navigator is a free educational resource that explains government agricultural programs in plain language. It offer a free online tool that helps farmers to pre-screen their eligibility for USDA financial assistance programs. Developed by an Oregon rancher, it allows farmers to answer a set of questions about their operation and receive a state-specific list of programs for which they may be eligible. It also provides lists of materials to prepare for a meeting with USDA staff, as well as scripted questions so that farmers can get the most out of their meetings with program staff, including key questions to ask.
