The NW and Rocky Mountain Regional Food Business Center team is offering grants between $3,000 and $50,000. The purpose of this competitive grant program is to expand the capacity of meat, seafood and poultry businesses that provide important services to small or mid-scale meat and/or poultry producers and brands.
We will prioritize applicants that serve multiple small- or midscale meat and/or poultry producers, doing projects that enhance/expand the services they provide. Examples include but are not limited to:
- meat brands or cooperatives that source from multiple meat producers
- processors doing further processing for multiple producers
- processors serving a geographic/demographic need
- cold storage facilities and local/regional distributors
- retail meat shops
Region: WA and OR
Eligibility: Individual farm businesses cannot apply, must be working with a technical assistance provider or a retailer to apply together.
