The USDA’s Rural Development program is hosting a year-round funding opportunity for rural areas to develop community centers around food and agriculture. Projects include community gardens, child care centers, educational centers, and more. This grant is a federal program from the USDA’s Rural Development program but farmers in rural and tribal areas in Oregon are currently eligible to apply year-round. This grant is not for urban farmers.
Eligibility: Nonprofit organizations, federally recognized tribes, and/or public bodies like government institutions.
Farmers can apply in partnership with one of the entities mentioned above.
