FoFF’s 2024 Policy Report found that a lack of housing, especially for employees and ranchers who live off-site of their operations, was a common barrier for many small-to-medium farmers and ranchers. Housing resources, such as Hacienda CDC, can help assist those navigating renting or buying a home to help alleviate this issue, in part. Hacienda CDC’s services include connection with affordable housing, financial/housing coaches, and down payment assistance. In fact, Hacienda is “Oregon’s largest Latino-led, Latino-serving housing organization and remains a trusted name in the community as we continue to expand our services throughout the Portland metropolitan area.”

Hacienda CDC says: “Housing is the cornerstone of our mission. Our affordable housing communities provide a safe, stable place for individuals and families to build their lives. With new homes in construction, we are working to meet the deep need for affordable housing in our community.

Our Homeownership Support Department is a central piece of Hacienda’s vision for families and individuals who are looking to improve or preserve their financial outlook, literacy, and assets. As a team of financial coaches and a HUD-approved housing counseling agency, we provide group education and one-on-one coaching to the community at large.”
