The National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition (NSAC) offers a Farmers’ Guide to applying for a VAPG grant. This is a booklet that goes over how to apply for the USDA Value Added Producer Grant Program that happens every year. This year’s grant deadline is April 17, 2025. This booklet goes over everything from eligibility to how the applications are scored and the timeline of the grant. This is a good resource to read as you’re applying for this grant to make sure you have a checklist ready and all the components for the grant ready to go.
